Topic 8: Mothballs: not just for humans

An interesting fact that not everyone know is that the mothballs we use commonly in our household contains a substance called naphthalene, which a species of termites fumigates in its nest to keep insects away.

This just shows the irony of using the power of insects to fight insects.

We also use this same theory in other aspect of our lives in the field of ecology, such as making use of bacteria to fight bacteria in our body. One example is the yakult that we consume.

How interesting, isn't it?
